Killed EDGE / EDGE SECURITY

WHAT ARE SECURITY EDGE AND MILLED EDGE

SECURITY EDGE is shaped forgings forged Security moated side edge of the coin . Type of SE is forging real for these 50 sen coins
Milled EDGE is shaped forging "bergerigi" side of the coin side and it was mistakenly forging for 50 sen side.

For the information of this type for 2 type  of Security Edge is supposed for these coins to minted but there are errors mint Milled Edge but it is very limited. From numismatic value then of course this led to the forging of a few very rare collections and the price is more expensive.

It is rather difficult to give a reason why these coins high price and it's getting better demand from collectors. However, lack of Milled Edge and do not know exactly mintage issued by the Royal Mint in London at the factory cause Coin Milled Edge sought by collectors.
Record auction price for Edge Milled Coin Grading S65 NGC 1969 at a price of RM 81,646.00 Auction in Singapore. RM 81,846.00 was the highest price for a coin 50 Milled Edge has ever recorded to date.
10 SEN 1971

Issued: 1971
Mintage: 32,236
Diameter: 19.40mm
Weight: 2.80gm
Composition: Copper Nickel
Edge: Milled
Forged: Shah Alam National Bank began issuing commemorative circulation coins Malaysia 1971. Before this all Malaysian coins are minted at the Royal Mint UK and German Hamburg Mint. For the first time in 1971 mint in Shah Alam just 10sen coin in small quantities only in 1971 amounted to 32.236 pieces. Coins 10sen low quantity because it only uses the surplus balance of the coin blank in return by the Royal Mint UK. Excess minted in 1967 and 1968 which produce a lot of money 10sen that year (reference handbook Peter Eu and Ben Chiew m / s 14) For collector coins, coin money 10sen 1971 is among the most scarce and relatively expensive , It is expected that during the year 2012 is priced between RM300 - RM400.

This time I want share the information about the unique of RM1 that always become games for collector for be a collection for everyone of Numistatic’s members. Rm1 Aishah assumed to have its own unique history. This RM1 price is really high. It can achieve more than RM2000 for one pieces depend to the condition.

From the information of National Bank, this money inadvertently distributed to the public because when this money distributed thereupon in the transition process and exchange Tan Sri Ali Abul Hassan to new governor of National Bank Tan Sri Aziz Akhtar Aziz. This RM1 Aishah was signed by Tan Sri Ali Abul Hassan dan distributed during the new governor Tan Sri Zeti Aziz

This error distribution is only valid and recognized at the Pulau Pinang of Central Bank and not it’s various branches of the National Bank because it had received orders to cancel the distribution. All the money RM1 were destroyed and replaced with replacement prefix of ZB. Only certain this RM1 just missed with a series of circular prefix as follow:
CR 720 0001 – CR 720 9999   ( FIRST PREFIX )
CR 721 0001 – CR 721 9999
